Created as a private commission and installed in Mexico, Temptation explores that delicate moment just before surrender, when instinct meets hesitation.
The figure stands at the edge of the water, caught in a quiet dialogue between movement and pause. Her posture suggests both curiosity and restraint, as if she is drawn forward while still holding onto the present moment. The gesture is subtle, but charged with intention.
The interaction with the environment is essential. Reflections from the water extend the sculpture beyond its physical form, blurring the line between figure and surface. The setting becomes part of the work, shifting with light, movement, and time of day.
Her dress, shaped as if caught in a passing breeze, introduces a sense of motion against the stillness of bronze. It contrasts the permanence of the material with the fleeting nature of the moment being captured.
Temptation is not about the act itself, but about the space before it. That quiet tension between decision and desire, held just long enough to be seen.
